About Me

Jess Ieritano (née Vaini) is a Perth-based photographer, videographer, and music promoter with a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary), majoring in Journalism and Media.

With nine years of experience in photography, Jess has developed a particular passion for live music photography. Her journey began in early 2015 when she brought her camera to a local heavy metal gig in Perth. Although she had been attending gigs since she was 13 years of age, this marked her first venture into photographing bands. That moment was pivotal in shaping her career and solidifying her ambition to pursue photography professionally.

In 2023, Jess expanded her creative pursuits into gig bookings and event management with the launch of the inaugural Electric Eye Heavy Fest. The festival featured a diverse lineup of 10 bands spanning various sub-genres of heavy music, from the classic to the extreme. Its success continued into 2024, solidifying Electric Eye Heavy Fest as a standout event in Perth's music calendar.

Throughout her career, Jess has collaborated with countless local Western Australian bands and captured performances by some of the biggest names in metal, including KISS, Slayer, Ghost, Judas Priest, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, and more.

Jess is aspiring to become a full-time touring Music Photographer. Get in touch here and let’s work together!

“Over the past 18 months I’ve been working a little behind the scenes where I’ve invested time into helping people book some local shows. This includes booking the bands, liaising with venues, organising the design of gig posters, and planning social media marketing campaigns. I found that this was something I really enjoyed, and after being a Music Photographer for the past seven years, I found that this was yet another way to involve myself in the music industry.”
